Job description

Opportunity for September 2020 to work at a secondary school in the High Peak due to an upcoming Science teaching position. There is the opportunity for the incoming teacher to earn a permanent contract.

This is a long term Science teaching role with the incoming Scientist forming part of a vibrant department aiming to raise overall attainment levels of students. This is a full time Science teaching post from September with the opportunity to earn a school based contract. This state of the art school has the latest technological equipment and teaching aids enabling you to deliver high specification lessons.

Academically this school currently has a Progress 8 score slightly down from their predicted and target levels so you will be expected to raise the attainment levels of the students within your timetable. Access to the school can be obtained via the M67 motorway, snakes pass and via direct trains from Manchester Piccadilly.

Science teachers wanting to be considered must have obtained qualified teacher status with a UK teacher reference number or NARIC conversion. You must also have a fully enhanced DBS certificate and suitable teaching references from past employment.
