Science Teacher

Opportunity to join an Ofsted graded ‘Good’ secondary school to provide support within the Science department.

• Full-time Science teacher (mainly Chemistry).
• Required to start in January 2021 to cover a 12-month maternity leave.
• Secondary school located in Bury.
• Pay in line with teaching scale point, GBP25,714 - GBP41,604.

The Science department has state of the art facilities and modern resources which can be utilised within the classrooms and practical laboratories.  Our client secondary school is located in Bury and has around 850 pupils on roll. It can be accessed via the M66/A56 and public transport links from the centre of Bury and surrounding areas such as Bolton, Radcliffe and Prestwich.

The responsibilities for the incoming Chemistry teacher will include teaching a full time table, planning and delivering inventive Science lessons and full planning and marking responsibilities. You must hold QTS to be considered for this role alongside experience teaching Science up to GCSE level. Our client school have informed us they would prefer the successful candidate to have a specialism in Chemistry or experience of the curriculum is desirable.
