Secondary Science Teacher – Walsall/ West Midlands
Position: Science Teacher (KS3–KS4)
Location: Walsall
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Full-time, ongoing supply with potential for permanent role
Salary Range: £162–£250 per day (DOE)

Located in the heart of Walsall, this secondary school has a newly refurbished science department and excellent facilities. The school is part of a multi-academy trust and is highly regarded for its STEM outreach, partnership with local universities, and enrichment opportunities.
Role Purpose:
To deliver high-quality Science education across KS3 and KS4, supporting students' academic progress and scientific curiosity through practical, inclusive and challenging teaching.
What You’ll Do:

Plan and deliver effective lessons aligned with the AQA GCSE Science curriculum

Use data to identify pupil progress and tailor interventions
-
Create engaging, practical classroom experiences
-
Implement school-wide behaviour and safeguarding policies

Participate in faculty CPD and collaborative planning sessions
Who We’re Looking For:
-
Qualified Teacher with QTS (UK recognised)
-
Subject specialism in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics
-
Up-to-date knowledge of the national curriculum and assessments
-
Ability to build strong, respectful relationships with pupils
-
Willingness to contribute to school life beyond the classroom

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
