Science Teacher – Sunderland Secondary School
Long-Term Supply, MPS/UPS £32,916 – £51,048, September 2026
Teaching Personnel is recruiting a Science Teacher for a long-term supply position at a secondary school in Sunderland from September 2026. Applications are welcome from specialists across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics — what matters is strong subject knowledge, confidence across the broader sciences, and proven classroom experience at secondary level.
What you'll be doing:
- Planning and delivering Science lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Teaching across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics
- Assessing progress and adapting teaching to meet the needs of all learners
- Maintaining high standards of classroom management and student engagement
- Contributing to departmental planning and whole-school events
- Upholding the school's safeguarding responsibilities
To be considered:
- QTS or equivalent
- A degree in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or a related discipline
- Proven experience teaching Science at secondary level
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
