Full-Time Qualified Science Teacher (KS3/KS4 – SEMH Behaviour School)
Location: Stamford/Oakham
Start Date: September 
Contract Type: Full-Time, Long-Term Contract
Salary: M Scale + SEN Allowance (depending on experience)

About the Role:
We are seeking a passionate and resilient qualified Science Teacher to join our dedicated team at a specialist SEMH Behaviour School catering to students in Key Stages 3 and 4. This is a full-time position starting in September, ideal for a teacher who is committed to making a meaningful difference in the lives of young people with social, emotional, and mental health needs.

Our Partner school provides a nurturing, supportive environment tailored to students who require additional behavioural support. With small class sizes and a strong staff-to-student ratio, they focus on building trust, confidence, and academic achievement. The school are proud of their inclusive ethos and team of skilled professionals who are committed to helping every learner thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated Science lessons to KS3 and KS4 students.

  • Use creative strategies to manage behaviour positively and effectively.

  • Foster a supportive and structured classroom environment.

  • Monitor, assess, and report on pupil progress.

  • Work collaboratively with the wider school team, parents/carers, and external agencies.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) and relevant teaching experience.

  • Experience working with students with SEMH needs or in alternative provision (desirable but not essential).

  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.

  • A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach.

  • A genuine passion for inclusive education and the ability to inspire and motivate young people.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
