Position: Science teacher
Location: Solihull
Start Date: September 2023
Contract: Full-time
Salary: £140 - £220 daily
Role and Responsibilities:
- You would be expected to teach science to a range of levels, including GCSE and Functional Skills.
- Frequently liaise with the Head of Department to discuss ways to develop the curriculum
- Offer 1-to-1s to students where needed
- Frequently meet with the Teaching Assistants/technicians to ensure you are providing a top quality learning experience and discuss how you can make lessons more engaging
- Mark and assign casework to students to maximise their learning potential
The ideal candidate will have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Degree in Science or a related field
- Proven experience teaching Science at secondary level, preferably within a mainstream school
- Have an enhanced DBS on the Update Service
- Understanding and knowledge of the UK national curriculum
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to inspire and motivate students to develop a love for Science and achieve their academic goals
