Science Teacher – Secondary School in Salford
Start Date: Easter 2026
Contract: Until July 2026
Requirement: Must hold UK QTS
A high-performing secondary school in Salford is seeking a dedicated Science Teacher to join their team from Easter until the end of the academic year. This is a full-time teaching position covering KS3 and KS4 Science where candidates will be expected to be planning and marking lessons. Candidates will be paid in line with their MPS/UPS.
The Role
- Delivering engaging Science lessons across KS3–KS4
- Planning, marking and assessing in line with school policy
- Supporting pupil progress and maintaining a positive classroom environment
- Working collaboratively with the Science department
- Contributing to the wider school community where required

Requirements
- UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
- Strong knowledge of the secondary Science curriculum
- Ability to quickly build rapport with students
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to apply)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
