Secondary Science Teacher – Salford (September Start)
A secondary school in Salford is seeking a fully qualified Science Teacher to join their team from September 2026 on a full‑time basis. This position will begin as a temporary role, with a strong opportunity to move into a permanent post for the right candidate.
You will be teaching Science across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering engaging, well‑structured lessons that support pupils of differing abilities to achieve strong outcomes. The role sits within a supportive Science department, led by an experienced leadership team who place a strong emphasis on professional development and staff wellbeing.
The role will involve:
- Teaching Science across KS3 and KS4 (GCSE)
- Planning and delivering engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum
- Assessing, tracking and reporting on pupil progress
- Creating a positive and well‑managed classroom environment
- Working collaboratively within the Science department and wider school
To be considered, applicants must hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and have experience teaching Science at secondary level, ideally up to GCSE. Strong subject knowledge, effective classroom management and a committed, enthusiastic approach are essential. Applications are welcomed from both ECTs and experienced teachers.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Science Teacher looking for a September role in Salford, offering stability, support, and a clear temp‑to‑perm pathway, with pay in line with the Main Pay Scale / Upper Pay Scale, depending on experience. The role is subject to an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references, in line with safeguarding requirements.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
