Science Teacher – Salford Secondary School
Start Date: After Easter 2026
Contract: Full-time | Paid to scale (MPS/UPS)
A well-regarded secondary school in Salford is looking to welcome a motivated Science Teacher to their team from after Easter 2026. The school is keen to appoint a teacher who can bring energy, strong subject knowledge, and a commitment to helping students achieve their best across the sciences.
The successful candidate will play an active role within a supportive department, delivering lessons that spark curiosity and encourage students to think critically. You’ll be teaching a mix of KS3 and KS4 classes, with the opportunity to shape schemes of work and contribute to wider school priorities.

They are seeking someone who can deliver purposeful, well-planned Science lessons, maintain a positive classroom environment, and establish strong relationships with students. A genuine passion for Science and the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly will be key to success in this role.
Essential skills and experience
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Strong understanding of Biology, Chemistry, or Physics
- Experience teaching in a secondary setting
- Confidence in delivering to mixed-ability groups
- Professionalism, organisation, and enthusiasm

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
