Location: Rhondda Cynon Taff
Contract: Full Time, Until the end of the academic year
Pay Rate: £172.98 per day
Start Date: Immediate / As soon as possible
Welsh speaker desirable but not essential

Are you an engaging and knowledgeable Science Teacher looking for a rewarding teaching opportunity in a supportive secondary school?

We are seeking a passionate and committed Science Teacher to join a thriving school in the Rhondda Cynon Taff area. This full-time position involves teaching across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with the support of an experienced department and strong leadership team.

About the Role

• Deliver engaging and well-structured Science lessons across KS3 and KS4
• Plan, prepare, and assess in line with the national curriculum
• Inspire pupils to develop curiosity, scientific thinking, and a love of learning
• Create an inclusive and supportive learning environment
• Work collaboratively with colleagues within the Science department
• Manage behaviour effectively to ensure a focused learning atmosphere


We’re looking for someone who is:

• An enthusiastic and motivated Science specialist
• Confident in delivering Biology, Chemistry, and/or Physics
• Able to build positive relationships with learners of all abilities
• Organised, adaptable, and committed to high-quality teaching
• A fluent Welsh speaker is a bonus—but not required


Requirements

Teaching Personnel provides guidance and support in obtaining the following:
• QTS or relevant teaching qualification
• Education Workforce Council (EWC) registration
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
• Two years of employment references

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
