Teacher of Science – September 2025 Start
Contract: Full-time, Temporary, or Temp to Perm

Location: Portsmouth
Key Stages: KS3 & KS4
Salary: MPR/UPR

Teaching Personnel are working with a well-established secondary school located in Portsmouth who are seeking a teacher of Science for September 2025. This co-educational school, which caters to students aged 11 to 16, has a long-standing presence in the community and is known for its inclusive values, strong pastoral care, and commitment to academic excellence.

Following its most recent Ofsted inspection in 2024, the school received ‘Good’ ratings across all key areas, including quality of education, behaviour and attitudes, personal development, and leadership and management. Inspectors praised the school as a “happy, kind and respectful” environment with high expectations for all students.

The school is currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Science Teacher to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate educator to make a real impact in a supportive and forward-thinking environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective science lessons to students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.

We are looking for someone who has strong subject knowledge who holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent qualification, and who has experience teaching science at KS3 and KS4. Strong classroom management, a commitment to inclusive education, and a passion for helping students achieve their full potential are essential. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
