A secondary school located on the outskirts of Plymouth is looking for a temporary Teacher of Biology to teach across key stage 3 and key stage 4 on a full time basis.

The role: 

  • To start as soon as possible and will continue until the end of the academic year - a permanent position may be available for the successful educator
  • Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm
  • Additional responsibilities are required for this position as you will be covering for a permanent member of staff – planning, preparation, practical’s and parent evenings. You will have full support from the head of Science and the timetabled amount of PPA time
  • An obvious love for your subject as well as strong behaviour management would do well in this role
  • Paid to scale

For your vetting to be complete, we require:

-Two references to be obtained from your most recent and relevant roles within the past 6 years

-A child only DBS to be applied for and returned – we can help you apply

-A Face to Face interview with the consultant you’ve been dealing with

-We also require 3 forms of ID and a Proof of Right to work in the UK

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
