Science teacher (Corby)

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting on behalf of a secondary school in Corby who is seeking a teacher of science to join them in February 2019. The school are willing to accept full time or part time applications and are willing to be flexible for the right candidate. You will be required to plan and teach key stage 3 and 4 science lessons; we are particularly interested in hearing from you if you are capable of teaching Chemistry, Physics or Biology to key stage 5. Students learn Biology, Chemistry and Physics from Year 7 through to Year 11, with the option of further study of these Science subjects at A-Level. There are eight specialist teaching staff, three experienced technicians, and a wealth of resources and equipment in specialist teaching labs. In 2018 Ofsted acknowledged the improvement of progress and commented that at all levels; leadership is strength of the school.

In order to be successful in this role you must be capable of monitoring student data and ensuring that progress is made across the subject. You must be able to engage with students of all abilities and learning styles, ensuring that they are part of the best possible learning environment. You will be capable of managing behaviour effectively and able to ensure students feel supported and confident.
