Science Teacher – Glossop – September Start
Location: Glossop
Position: Secondary Science Teacher
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Full-time (initially temporary with the potential to become permanent)
Pay: £150 - £230 per day (dependent on experience and pay scale)
Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a welcoming secondary school in the Glossop area, who are seeking a dedicated and passionate Science Teacher to join their team from September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive department with a strong focus on student progress and engagement.
About the Role:
You will be teaching Science across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering high-quality lessons in line with the national curriculum. The school is looking for someone who can inspire and motivate students while maintaining high standards of teaching and learning.
Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons across KS3 and KS4
-
Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
-
Contribute to the development of the Science curriculum
-
Maintain a positive classroom environment and promote good behaviour

Attend departmental meetings, parents’ evenings, and whole-school CPD
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
-
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
-
Experience teaching Science in a UK secondary school
-
Strong subject knowledge in Biology, Chemistry or Physics
-
A commitment to raising standards and improving outcomes
-
An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one)
