Exciting Opportunity: Join us as a Science Teacher in Blackburn.

Contract Details:

- Job Role: Qualified Science Teacher

- Location: Blackburn, Lancashire

- Start Date: 8th January 2024

- End Date: July 2024

Are you a passionate Science teacher looking for a full-time position starting from January 2024? If so, we have an excellent opportunity for you to join our team in Blackburn. The position commences on 8th January and is initially contracted until July 2024, with a high likelihood of extension until the end of the financial year.

Our school's fundamental culture revolves around making science accessible and relevant for all students. We take pride in our curriculum, which allows every pupil to fully engage with all branches of science. By linking the learning in lessons to everyday scenarios and future careers, we strive to make science an exciting and essential part of our students' educational journey. Our Key Stage 3 curriculum builds on the foundations laid by the primary science curriculum, equipping students with the necessary skills and knowledge for success. Additionally, we offer both combined science and separate science at higher and foundation tiers for GCSE, ensuring that each student can follow the science pathway that suits them best.

Role Requirements:

- Possession of an Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.

- Relevant qualifications in Science Education.

- While experience is desirable, we welcome applications from NQTs as well.

- Ability to build strong relationships with fellow staff, pupils, and parents.

- Confidence in planning and delivering engaging and effective lessons.

- A personable and approachable demeanour.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
