Science Teacher, Catholic Secondary

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a small mixed comprehensive secondary school in the Walton area, Liverpool area to support recruitment in the new academic year (2019/2020).

Due to an upcoming Maternity leave, the secondary school wish to appoint a temporary Science teacher to join their faculty from October 2019 until the end of the academic year, and potentially beyond. This post also may be subject to an earlier start date due to the nature of the cover. It is essential that the successful Science teacher has experience delivering Biology, Chemistry and Physics to GCSE level, and has experience of differentiating work to meet the needs of all pupils.

  • Full-time Science teaching position, Maternity cover, October 2019 start.
  • Teaching across Key Stage Three and Key Stage Four.
  • Full departmental responsibilities of planning and marking.
  • Working within a supportive department, with possibility for progression dependent on the needs of the department.
  • Pay in line with teaching scale point (£23,720 - £39,406 per annum)

This position is suitable for both newly qualified and experienced Science teachers, specialising in Biology, Chemistry or Physics. The relevant support will be provided for the successful Science teacher.

The large mixed catholic secondary school is situated in the Walton, Liverpool area. The school can be reached via public transportation links from across Liverpool.

In Ofsted inspections, the school have achieved a 'Good' grading and are consistently praised for the support provided from Senior Leaders across the school. There are currently slightly over 800 pupils on roll with the school boasting a fantastic behaviour policy.
