Science teacher with Chemistry or Biology specialism – Carshalton
Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting core subject teachers in South London to start in January. One Catholic client school is looking to hire a Science teacher specialising in Chemistry or Biology teacher to start from 2020 on a full time basis. Senior leadership are looking for a teacher with a PGCE or QTS and experience teaching Science up to key stage 4 and either Biology of Chemistry at key stage 5.

Pay scale inline with the inner London MPS/UPS pay scale; GBP33,741 to GBP49,571 (M3 to U3)

Catholic secondary school near Carshalton rated ‘good’ by Ofsted with a “decisive and efficient senior leadership.”
The Catholic secondary school in question, located near Carshalton, is one of many Catholic schools in London currently working with Teaching Personnel as part of the Catholic recruitment partnership. Teaching Personnel have signed a Service Level Agreement with the Brentwood and Southwark Catholic Diocese meaning there are numerous teaching opportunities available at Catholic schools throughout London, rated ‘good’ and ‘outstanding’ by Ofsted.
The successful Science teacher will hold UK recognised teaching qualifications and have experience teaching either Biology or Chemistry at A-level. Senior leadership within the Science department are looking for a classroom practitioner with good subject knowledge who has taught general Science at key stage 3 and 4 in addition to key stage 5. The ideal teacher will have a history or raising attainment and be able to build a good rapport with the students.

Teaching Personnel’s client school is a large Catholic school that aims to maintain the high standards of teaching set by the senior leadership. Although the school is of Roman Catholic denomination they do not require staff to be Catholic, just that they respect the religious practices of the school. The school has state-of-the art facilities and modern buildings, having been renovate within the last 10 years. High attainment is not the pursuit of just the more academic subjects. Students are encouraged to take part in extra curricular activities from sports to music and everything in between. Any extra curricular experience teachers may hold is a welcome benefit.
