Job Title: School Cleaner
Location: Preston, Lancashire
Salary: £13.75 – £14.50 per hour
Working Hours: Part-time. Specific hours to be discussed during the interview.
Start Date: As soon as possible.
About the Role:
We are seeking a reliable and diligent individual to join our facilities team as a School Cleaner. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our students, staff, and visitors. This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work and understands the importance of cleanliness in an educational setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming.
- Clean and sanitise toilets, washrooms, and communal areas.
- Ensure all areas are cleaned to the required standards.
- Replenish consumables such as soap, toilet paper, and paper towels.
- Report any maintenance issues or hazards to the appropriate personnel.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations and school policies at all times.
Person Specification:
- Previous experience in a cleaning role, preferably within a school or similar environment.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies, with an understanding of COSHH regulations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness.
- Good time management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Flexibility to adapt to the changing needs of the school.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
