Job description

Teaching Personnel is seeking to appoint a SEND Administrator who is enthusiastic, suitably qualified and with the commitment to work supporting our learners with additional needs. The successful applicant will need to have experience in previous school administration and be confident in using SIMS management systems and MS Office.

Good communication skills, efficient execution of office duties and support in the development of management systems such as filing, emails, telephone calls and minute-taking will be essential skills. Some familiarity with the work of a SEND department would be preferable as well as:

  • English and Maths GCSE at grade C or above (or the equivalent level)
  • An interest in keeping up to date with educational developments in SEN provision
  • Experience working with young people from diverse backgrounds
  • Experience at providing administrative support within a busy working environment
  • The ability to work with high levels of tact, confidentiality and discretion
  • The ability to communicate with a number of different agencies
  • A qualification in Business Administration would be an advantage but is not essential
