Are you an experienced Care Assistant looking for a change in career? Are you passionate about the well being of young and vulnerable adults? Are you local to York? If you have answered yes to these questions, then Teaching Pesonnel have the perfect role for you!

Teaching Personnel are working with an Academy that support Primary and Secondary aged children excluded from mainstream education. Their exclusion is usually linked to some sort of Special Educational Needs, such as Autism, ADHD, Moderate or Severe Learning Difficulties or Social, Emotional and Mental Health Issues. We have found that Care Assistants have a lot of transferable skills and get along very well within an educational setting.

Your responsibilities would include:
-Working one-to-one with young and vulnerable adults
-Delivering pre-planned functional skills lessons in two hour blocks
-Establishing a trusting working rapport with pupils
-Liaising with parents, carers and case workers to organise a suitable timetable to deliver tuition either in the home, or local library

Requirements:
-You will need to provide a 6 year career history and your two most recent work-based references
-You should have a DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one
-A full UK driving licence is advantegeous but not essential
