Large RC secondary school situated in the Salford LEA have an open vacancy for a Religious Education teacher to join their school from April 2019 or sooner if possible. As this is an open gap within the faculty, the school are seeking a Religious Education teacher that wishes to secure a permanent position.

*It is advantageous for interested Religious Education teachers to be CCRS qualified, but is not essential to be successful in this position.*

- Full- time Religious Education teacher required, April 2019 start (or sooner if possible).
- Teaching both Key Stage Three and GCSE long course Religious Education.
- Expectations of full planning and marking responsibilities within this position.
-Opportunity to secure a permanent position following an initial short trial period.
- Pay in line with teaching scale point (£23,720 - £39,406 per annum)

"Our successful and high achieving Religious Education department have the capacity to appoint a full-time Religious Education teacher from April 2019 or sooner if possible. We are seeking a practitioner who can deliver Religious Education lessons in a creative and dynamic manner to ensure all pupils are engaged and can achieve to the best of their ability." Head Teacher

*The successful Religious Education teacher will be expected to partake in full planning and marking responsibilities, alongside weekly departmental training sessions.*

With 1,300 pupils on roll, the school is significantly larger than average for the area, and due to this - the school have provisions in place for additional classrooms to ensure class sizes are kept small. This enables the teaching staff to work with pupils on a one-to-one basis, and in small groups to ensure they are achieving the best grades they can. Even though it is not essential that the successful Religious Education teacher holds the CCRS qualification, however it is expected that the successful teacher follows the ethos and values of the school.

Located in Salford, our partner RC secondary school is accessible via the A580 (East Lancashire Road). For non-drivers, there are an abundance of public transportation links near to the school.
