EYFS Teaching Assistant
TA3/Intervention Teaching Assistant required from September 2020
Primary School in Nelson
Full time hours 8:30 – 15:30
Working within the EYFS classroom
Pay rate: £10.77 - £12.50 per hour
An opportunity has arisen in a Nelson Primary School for after the May half-term 2022. The role is to work as a Teaching Assistant withing the EYFS classroom 08:30-15:30, five days a week for the entirety of the academic year. The Head teacher is seeking a Teaching Assistant who has a track record of working within the EYFS classroom, working with small groups of children to deliver phonics interventions, and reading booster session. It is a necessity that you have experience working within a reception class and experience assessing against the Early Years curriculum. The role has occurred due to a long-term sickness which was evident from January which the school covered with supply. The supply member of staff has accepted a job out of education, but the need is still there.
The school is currently judged as Good by OFSTED and does uphold the Christian faith and Curriculum closely. As mentioned, the school is graded as Good across all areas, and this included Teaching and Learning and Behaviour, it is therefore important that you have excellent behaviour management and can improve standards of academic development in class. The role is to start from the 6th of June 2022 and run every day from 08:30-15:30. There may also be an opportunity to add additional hours to your workday through welfare cover.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
