EYFS Teacher

The Headteacher of a reputable school in Preston is keen to secure an enthusiastic team player who can work collaboratively alongside a partner teacher to contribute to each child’s development in the class in the Early Years department. The working days will be Monday to Friday full days. The Headteacher and governing body are keen to secure an Early Years specialist who is confident teaching phonics and assessing following the Early Learning Goals. This role is teaching the youngest children in the school, therefore applicants must be excellent role models with an excellent understanding of the EYFS.

The School

This is a one form entry Primary School and the EYFS team are very hard working and committed to raising standards, allowing the children’s parents to have a good impact on the follow up work usual set as part of a homework project.

The Role

The role will be to undertake a full time positon working from Monday – Friday. This will be a class teacher role in the EYFS department. You will have support from two dedicated teaching assistants as well as a full time SEN support assistant. The role is to start as soon as possible and last until the teacher returns from maternity leave (expected to be December 2020). Within the role you will be expected to undertake the full class teacher role; planning and assessing in line with the Early Learning Goals and the EYFS Curriculum.

The Head teacher

The Head teacher is an inspiration! The recent Ofsted inspection notes that she was the ‘driving force behind the schools’ continuous improvement’. The Head teacher will be the person to observe candidates and so you must be available to undertake a half day assessment to ascertain your suitability.
