RECEPTION CLASS TEACHING ASSISTANT
Teaching Personnel are currently working with a Primary School based in Castleford (West Yorkshire) that are looking for an Early Years Teaching Assistant to join them from March 2021 until the end of the academic year.
The successful candidate will be working as a general teaching assistant working with the Reception pupils helping and guiding them where needed.
Hours: Full: 8:30am – 4:00pm
Pay - GBP60 - GBP90 per day (depending on experience)
The successful candidate will need to be available from March 2021.
ESSENTIAL criteria (the candidate MUST have)
- Have had experience working in a pre-school setting
- Have previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, specifically in Early Years
- minimum Level 3 EYFS qualification or equivalent
- Good behaviour management skills.
- Available to work as soon as the children return to school
- experience & ability to plan/deliver suitable learning activities. Desirable attributes: (the candidate SHOULD be)
- Calm and patient.
- Able to use own initiative & be resourceful.
- Be able to work as part of a team.
- Be an effective communicator.
As a Teaching Assistant at this Primary School your role will be to work with the Teacher, engaging into lessons to instil a love of learning in the children. This school is very inclusive and focuses on ensuring that all children have an equal access to learning. The Primary school hope to find a dedicated and talented EYFS Teaching Assistant who has an innovative, forward thinking teaching style. You will be expected to inspire the children alongside managing their behaviour in and out of the classroom.
This is a temporary position, however there is an opportunity to be taken on permanently depending on how well the candidate performs and how well the teacher builds relationships with the pupils.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
