About the Role

Ready to teach what you love?
Whether your passion is Maths, Drama, Science, PE, or any other subject, this is your opportunity to bring your enthusiasm to the classroom and inspire the next generation!

We’re excited to be recruiting a vibrant, dedicated, and adaptable Secondary Teacher to join one of our fantastic partner secondary schools in the Newport area. This school is well-known for its warm, welcoming atmosphere, strong pastoral support, and commitment to helping every student thrive—academically, socially, and personally.

In this role, you’ll be teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential opportunities to support Key Stage 5 depending on your subject expertise. You’ll plan and deliver engaging, creative, and dynamic lessons that follow the national curriculum and spark curiosity, confidence, and a genuine love for learning.

Beyond the classroom, you’ll have the chance to get involved in the wider life of the school—whether that’s running an extracurricular club, supporting school productions or sports fixtures, attending parent evenings, or collaborating with colleagues to enrich the learning experience. The school champions teamwork, professional development, and fresh ideas, making it a brilliant environment for both Early Career Teachers and seasoned educators.

Whether you’re seeking full-time stability or flexible part-time work, we’d love to hear from enthusiastic teachers ready to make a real impact.

  • Demonstrate strong classroom management, behaviour strategies, and confident communication skills
  • Show commitment to student progress, wellbeing, and achievement
  • Have a genuine passion for education and want to make a positive, lasting impact

Requirements

To be considered for the role, you will need:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), or be in the process of completing your teacher training/induction

If you don’t yet have all the necessary documentation, Teaching Personnel can support you in obtaining:

  • Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)
  • An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service
  • Level 2 Safeguarding training
  • Minimum two recent professional references covering 24 months
