Pay Rate: £172.98 per day
Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm
Contract: Full Academic Year

We’re excited to be recruiting a vibrant, dedicated, and adaptable Secondary Teacher to join one of our fantastic partner secondary schools in the Newport area. In this role, you’ll be teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential opportunities to support Key Stage 5 depending on your subject expertise. You’ll plan and deliver engaging, creative, and dynamic lessons that follow the national curriculum and spark curiosity, confidence, and a genuine love for learning.

✅ What We’re Looking For
We welcome applications from individuals who:
- Have experience—or are eager to gain experience—teaching in a secondary school setting (KS3 and KS4 essential; KS5 desirable)
- Can plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons aligned with the national curriculum
- Create an inclusive, supportive, and engaging learning environment for all learners
- Demonstrate strong classroom management, behaviour strategies, and confident communication skills
- Show commitment to student progress, wellbeing, and achievement
- Have a genuine passion for education and want to make a positive, lasting impact
Requirements
To be considered for the role, you will need:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), or be in the process of completing your teacher training/induction
If you don’t yet have all the necessary documentation, Teaching Personnel can support you in obtaining:
- Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)
- An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service
- Level 2 Safeguarding training
- Minimum two recent professional references covering 24 months

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
