We are currently expanding our network of talented Science Teachers to support a variety of mainstream secondary schools across Birmingham and Sutton Coldfield. By joining Teaching Personnel, you'll be considered for a range of exciting opportunities, including day-to-day supply, short-term cover, long-term placements and permanent positions as they become available.

The Role

As a Science Teacher, you'll have the opportunity to:

  • Deliver engaging and inspiring Science lessons across Key Stages 3–5.
  • Teach Biology, Chemistry and/or Physics, depending on your specialism.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where every student can succeed.
  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons that encourage curiosity and a love of science.
  • Assess, monitor and support students' progress.
  • Work collaboratively with supportive departments and school leadership teams.

We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Have experience teaching Science within UK secondary schools.
  • Be confident delivering lessons across KS3 and KS4, with KS5 experience desirable.
  • Be passionate about raising attainment and inspiring students.
  • Have excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • Be adaptable, reliable and committed to delivering high-quality education.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
