Location: Harrow

This role involves teaching general science to KS3 and your specialism (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics) at KS4.

The Role

  • Teach engaging and practical Science lessons to KS3–KS4 students, tailoring content to meet varied learning needs
  • Promote scientific inquiry, problem solving, and curiosity across the classroom
  • Track progress and use assessment data to drive student achievement
  • Collaborate with a forward thinking Science department committed to active learning and academic excellence
  • Support pupils with varied learning needs including those with SEND or EAL

About You

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialism in Biology, Chemistry or Physics
  • Strong knowledge of the secondary Science curriculum (GCSE & KS3)
  • Experience using practical experiments to support learning safely and effectively
  • Enthusiastic, organised, and committed to student progress and engagement
  • Ability to differentiate and manage behaviour in a diverse classroom

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
