Job description

Are you a motivated and enthusiastic Science Teacher looking to make a difference in an inclusive and high-achieving school community? Secondary schools across Brent, North West London, are seeking passionate Science specialists to join their teams from September 2024.

Whether your expertise lies in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or teaching General Science, these schools offer modern facilities, excellent CPD, and a genuine focus on staff wellbeing and progression.


The Role:

✔ Plan and deliver engaging, practical, and knowledge-rich Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential for Key Stage 5.
✔ Inspire students to develop critical thinking, scientific enquiry skills, and confidence in STEM subjects.
✔ Differentiate learning to support pupils of varying abilities, including those with SEND and EAL needs.
✔ Track student progress, provide effective feedback, and implement interventions where necessary.
✔ Contribute to departmental development, curriculum enrichment, and extracurricular Science activities.


The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

✔ UK QTS or equivalent, with a specialism in Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or General Science).
✔ Sound knowledge of the national curriculum and experience delivering Science across secondary key stages.
✔ High expectations for pupil progress, behaviour, and personal development.
✔ Ability to create a positive, inclusive learning environment where all students can succeed.
✔ Strong communication, teamwork, and organisational skills, with a proactive approach to professional development.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
