Job description

Make the Past Matter – Inspire Thought Through History
Teaching Personnel is working with a well-established secondary school in Brent to appoint a committed and engaging History Teacher. This is a fantastic opportunity to bring the past to life and develop students’ understanding of how history shapes the modern world.

You’ll be delivering History lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the possibility of A-Level teaching for experienced candidates.

The Role:

  • Plan and teach History lessons covering key topics such as the World Wars, Empire, and social change

  • Encourage critical thinking, debate, and analysis of historical sources

  • Prepare students for GCSE History assessments

  • Support pupils with SEND and EAL through differentiated resources and scaffolding

  • Contribute to a dynamic Humanities department focused on engagement and inclusion

About You:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a History or Humanities specialism

  • Confident delivering the History national curriculum and GCSE exam content

  • Enthusiastic, reflective, and committed to pupil progress

  • Strong behaviour management and classroom organisation skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
