Our client sixth form college located in the central Manchester area is looking for an A-level Psychology teacher to start with them at the beginning of the new academic year. The successful Psychology teacher should have experience teaching the AQA syllabus at AS and A2 level as this is the exam board that the college follows.

This is a full time teaching position for the duration of the 2019/2020 academic year covering a maternity leave in the first instance.

This outstanding city centre based college is highly reputable and the college of choice for many students and parents alike. They pride themselves on providing a first class further education to all students and as a result have become a college of choice for staff and teachers.

The Psychology department follow the AQA exam board at A-level including topics such as Introductory Topics in Psychology, Psychopathology, Research Methods and Approaches in Psychology to name just a few. Any relevant experience in teaching these topics will be preferential.

The college being situated in the city centre is very easy to commute to for teachers in the Manchester and Greater Manchester area. Buses regularly service the college as there being a large on site car park for those who drive.

As a successful Psychology teacher, you will be expected to teach at both AS and A2 level. The head of faculty has advised that students generally enjoy their Psychology lessons as teachers are knowledgeable, able to impart understanding but also make learning fun and interesting. The appointed teacher of Psychology should therefore be able to engage students well and teach innovative lessons. Students are generally academic at this college meaning that behaviour is not generally an issue.
