Psychology Graduates – SEN Learning Support Assistant

The Role
Our partner SEN schools across East Sussex cater for students aged 4-18 with a range of additional needs, including autism, ADHD, anxiety disorders, and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) difficulties. As an SEN Learning Support Assistant, you will:
✔️ Work 1:1 and in small groups, helping students engage in learning.
✔️ Assist with academic support, emotional development, and social skills.
✔️ Implement tailored strategies alongside teachers and therapists.
✔️ Use de-escalation and therapeutic techniques to support students with emotional regulation.
✔️ Encourage positive behaviour and resilience in a supportive learning environment.
What We’re Looking For
✅ A Psychology degree (or a related subject) with an interest in mental health and education.
✅ A compassionate, patient, and proactive approach to supporting students.
✅ Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
✅ Any experience working with young people (coaching, tutoring, mentoring, support work) is advantageous but not essential – full training is provided!
