Job Title: Graduate Teaching Assistant – Psychology Graduates
Location: Trafford, Greater Manchester
Job Type: Full-time / Part-time (Term-Time Only)
Start Date: September 2025
Salary: £89 – £100 per day (depending on experience and role)
Are you a Psychology graduate looking to gain hands-on experience in education or mental health?
We are currently recruiting enthusiastic and compassionate Psychology graduates to work as Teaching Assistants in primary and secondary schools across Trafford. This is an excellent opportunity to apply your academic knowledge in a practical setting, support young people with additional needs, and build experience for future careers in education, child psychology, speech and language therapy, or clinical practice.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Supporting pupils with special educational needs (SEN) such as autism, ADHD, and SEMH
- Assisting teachers in delivering engaging lessons
- Working 1:1 or in small groups to aid learning and emotional regulation
- Helping to create a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment
- Monitoring student progress and providing feedback to the teaching team
We're Looking For:
- A recent or upcoming graduate in Psychology (BSc or MSc)
- A genuine interest in working with children or young people
- Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills
- Experience working with children (voluntary or paid) is advantageous but not essential
- Availability to work school hours (8:30am–3:30pm), Monday to Friday

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
