An Ofsted good secondary school in Wilmslow are seeking Psychology Graduates for upcoming Learning Support Assistant roles in October 2023. These are full time positions working Monday – Friday 8:30 – 15:30, the school are looking for dynamic, proactive individuals to help support their students with SEN & SEMH for the entire academic year.

Earn £1500 - £1700 per month (dependant on experience).

The school in question is one of the largest in the UK with over 2500 students enrolled currently with a £17 million expansion nearing its completion to take on even more pupils as well as greatly modernizing the facilities. This 11-18 mixed school has an excellent reputation throughout the Northwest for being one of the most desirable schools to not only attend but to work for.

In this role you will utilise the expertise you have gained through your degree, closely supporting students with SEN and SEMH. The successful applicants will mainly work within the school’s state-of-the-art SEN provision while also supporting students within a classroom setting.

Additional responsibilities:

Take appropriate responsibility and action for safeguarding, be aware of confidential issues and maintain as appropriate.

Contribute to the overall ethos/work/aims of the school.

Assist pupils to access learning activities through specialist support.

Contribute to the development and implementation of appropriate behaviour management strategies.

To converse at ease and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
