Secondary School Teaching Assistant
Are you a recent graduate looking to start a career in education? We are seeking Teaching Assistant to work across secondary schools in south Manchester and Macclesfield, supporting students and teachers in the classroom. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a schools. We are looking for candidates interested in full-time work.
What does a Teaching Assistant do?
As a TA, you’ll work closely with teachers to support learning, help manage classroom behaviour, and provide one-to-one or small group interventions. You’ll assist with lesson delivery, encourage student engagement, and contribute to a positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support teachers in delivering lessons across a range of subjects
- Work with students on a one-to-one or small group basis
- Help manage classroom behaviour and maintain a safe learning space
- Assist with resources and lesson preparation
Requirements
- Degree or equivalent qualification (ideal for graduates)
- Experience working with young people or in schools
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Enthusiastic, adaptable, and committed to supporting education

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
