We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant for a role at a SEN school within central birmingham from September 2023. The successful candidate will be passionate about education and have a strong desire to support students in their academic and personal development.

As a Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the teaching staff to provide support to students in the classroom. You will be responsible for assisting with lesson planning, delivering small group sessions, and providing one-to-one support to students who require additional help.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Psychology or a related field, as well as experience working with young people. You should be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and have the ability to build strong relationships with students and staff alike.

Working in SEN some children may need support within personal care and/or challenging behaviour. Please consider this when applying below.

Key Responsibilities:

- Supporting teaching staff in the delivery of lessons
- Delivering small group sessions
- Providing one-to-one support to students who require additional help
- Assisting with lesson planning and preparation
- Monitoring student progress and providing feedback to teaching staff

Requirements:

- A degree in Psychology or a related field
- Experience working with young people with SEN needs
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
