PRU Science Teacher

We are looking for experienced Science Teacher to join one of our PRU (Pupil Referral Unit) schools that supports secondary-aged students who have been excluded from mainstream education due to behavioural and social challenges.
This is a unique and rewarding opportunity to work in a non-mainstream setting where your ability to manage behaviour, build trust, and tailor learning to individual needs will be key to success.
About the Role:
- Teach KS3 and KS4 Science in a small group setting
- Deliver engaging lessons adapted to meet diverse learning and emotional needs
- Use strong behaviour management strategies to maintain a positive learning environment
- Work closely with support staff and pastoral teams to nurture and guide students
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and respectful classroom culture
Ideal Candidate:
- Confident and calm under pressure
- Resilient and flexible in approach
- Skilled in behaviour management and de-escalation techniques
- Able to differentiate work and adapt teaching styles to suit individual needs
- Committed to a nurturing and trauma-informed approach
Requirements:
✅ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
✅ Enhanced DBS for both Child and Adult Workforce on the Update Service
✅ Valid documentation proving Right to Work in the UK
✅ Up-to-date Safeguarding Training (Provided by us)
✅ Minimum of 2 years of references covering educational roles
