Primary School Tutor
Teaching Personnel are delighted to confirm that we have been approved as one of suppliers on the National Tutoring Programme (NTP). We are now looking to recruit to help support primary schools.
This is the ideal opportunity for any qualified teachers, experienced teaching assistants, graduates with previous tuition experience who are interested in supporting local schools across Rochdale (Minimum of 6 months teaching or tuition experience required).
Our client primary schools require teachers or tutors with experience across Key Stage 1 and 2, Maths, English and Phonics.
The NTP was created to support schools ensure disadvantaged pupils whose education has been affected by school closures during lockdown get the correct support needed to get them back to expected levels. The programme aims to provide a longer-term focussed contribution to closing the attainment gap.
If you are interested in providing support to schools across the Rochdale region, delivering targeted tuition to pupils please see further details below:
- Supporting pupils aged 6-11 within subjects including Maths, English and Phonics
- Working in partnership with a number of schools to deliver 1:1, 1:2 and 1:3 tuition
- 15 hour tuition blocks with identified pupils
- Full CPD and training provided ahead of beginning tuition programmes
- Pay of up to GBP35 per hour
As a primary school tutor, you will be required to support Key Stage 1 and 2 pupils within their studies. You will receive full guidance from Senior Leaders to deliver resources to pupils who have been identified to need further support within their studies. You will also be responsible for tracking pupils progress throughout their tuition. This is a rewarding role where you will have the opportunity to have a real impact on pupils development and learning.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
