Part Time Teaching Assistant with Midday Duties
A primary school in Stockport is looking for a part-time teaching assistant with required midday duties for 3 days a week from September. The school is looking for a candidate with a passion for supporting children in education and who is willing to work flexibly across age groups and subjects. Supervising over lunchtime will also be required for this role.
Role Description
- Supporting children in class under the guidance of the class teacher.
- Leading intervention groups and 1 to 1’s for children who require additional support.
- Supervising the safety and well-being over lunchtimes while modelling appropriate play.
- Ensuring the safeguarding of all children under their supervision.
Role Requirements
- Experience working with children in either a childcare or school setting.
- Available 3 days a week for full day commitments including over lunchtimes.
- A desire and passion to support children in all aspects of their education journey.
- Ability to support all children despite their varying levels of need.
- A good command of the English language, both written and verbal.

Applicants who have lived outside the UK for 3 months or more in the past 5 years will be required to provide an overseas criminal clearance check.
An enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service is mandatory for this role. If you do not currently have one, you will need to apply throughTeaching Personnel as part of the vetting process.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
