Primary Teaching Assistant – September Start (Swansea)

Teaching Personnel are looking for a Mainstream Teaching Assistant to join a warm, forward-thinking primary school team for the new school year starting this September. This is a hands-on, purposeful role that is deeply rewarding. Your work will be varied, meaningful, and rooted in helping children access learning in the way that suits them best.
  • Location: Swansea
  • Start Date: September (New School Year)
  • Daily Rate: £92.63 per day
 
What You’ll Be Doing As A Teaching Assistant
  • Working alongside class teachers to support general, whole‑class learning.
  • Supporting behaviour for learning and promoting positive routines.
  • Preparing resources, setting up activities, and maintaining a calm classroom atmosphere.
  • Assisting individual pupils within the mainstream environment to help them regulate and focus.
  • Creating a supportive, encouraging environment where children can practise skills at their own pace.
  • Building trusting relationships that help children feel safe, confident, and ready to learn.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
