We are looking for enthusiastic, caring and committed Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to join our team from September 2026.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with college-aged students, supporting them to access their education, develop confidence and independence, and achieve their personal and learning goals.

We particularly welcome applications from people with experience of supporting young people with additional needs, SEND, learning difficulties, autism, communication needs or social and emotional needs.

The Role

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work alongside teaching and support staff to provide effective, individualised support to students.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing 1:1 and small-group support to students in and around the classroom.
• Supporting students with additional needs to access learning and participate fully in college life.
• Helping students understand instructions, complete tasks and develop effective learning strategies.
• Encouraging independence, confidence and self-advocacy, rather than creating dependency.
• Supporting students with communication, organisation, social interaction and emotional regulation where appropriate.
• Adapting your approach to meet individual learning needs.
• Working closely with teaching staff and other professionals to ensure students receive consistent support.
• Helping students develop the skills they need for further education, employment, adulthood and independent living.
• Maintaining a positive, inclusive and respectful learning environment.
• Monitoring progress and contributing to individual support plans and reviews.

Experience of working with young people or students with additional needs is desirable, although we are also interested in applicants who can demonstrate the right attitude, transferable skills and commitment to the role.
