Primary Teaching Assistant
Are you interested in supporting children with their education and providing excellent classroom support? Teaching Personnel are seeking to appoint highly enthusiastic and motivated Teaching Assistants, who are particularly hardworking and committed to furthering children’s education. These roles will be based on across our Plymouth primary schools.
As a TA you will work along side the Class Teacher to provide whole class, group or 1 to1 support, for a variety of different learning activities. You will also support to implement behaviour management strategies and prepare resources to support the lessons. As a TA you will also be expected to lead group activities, with direction from the Class Teacher, as well as observe and report back progress.
Qualifications and Skills:
- At least a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification and/or relevant school experience.
- Previous experience working with children or young people in education settings.
- Experience managing behaviour and following behaviour management strategies.
- Have a unique and creative approach to their teaching and learning.
Requirements:
- Up to date DBS certificate on the update service (or be willing to complete a new one)
- Relevant teaching support experience
- Confidence to take the lead with activities and tailor support for children.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
