Job description

EYFS Teaching Assistants and Nursery Nurses

 

Location: Hounslow, London

Role: Primary Teaching Assistants (Early Years, KS1 & KS2)

Duration: Monday to Friday 8:30 to 5:30pm, long term and short-term positions available.

Pay: £80 - 110 per day (paid on a weekly basis – negotiable dependant on experience and references)

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Teaching Assistant to work within the Ealing area, we currently have multiple roles available with increased demand for teaching assistants in the area. We are seeing an increased demand for teaching assistants to work within early years and reception, so we are looking to work some great teaching assistants who specialise working with younger age groups.

The successful teaching assistant will work alongside the classroom teacher, helping pupils learn the relevant curriculum and working to create a warm and energetic working environment for the pupils, and ensure the learning possibilities are open to all children.  You will be focusing on the students social and emotional development, whilst keeping them engaged on tasks and demonstrating a great ability to care.

Building relationships with other staff to assist with the general running of a typical school day. As a teaching assistant with younger children, you may encounter children who have complex needs and challenging behaviour.

There are people who may want to take that first step into a career in education but feel they are not suitable; we want to help you realise your potential. Please do get in touch if you feel this could be describing you and you come from a background in fostering, behaviour mentoring, nursery nursing, running a youth club / sports team, healthcare, etc.

The ideal candidate will be…

  • Positive and enthusiastic
  • Flexible, resilient and willing to embrace new surroundings and situations
  • Confident working with students in small groups and on a 1:1 basis
  • Experienced in assisting teaching any age groups, ideally in EYFS/KS1/KS2
  • A Good communication with students and staff

Desirable criteria:  Mental health awareness training, Special Needs experience, Team Teach or positive handling training, Full UK driving license or willingness to travel, First Aid Training, Experience of teaching other years.
