Primary Teaching Assistant

We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant school community in Congleton starting September 2025.

About the Role:

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to support pupils in their learning – both in the classroom and through small group or one-to-one interventions. The ideal candidate will be adaptable, patient, and have a genuine interest in helping children reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting the teacher in delivering high-quality education across the curriculum

• Assisting with the preparation of learning materials and classroom resources

• Providing targeted support to individuals or small groups of pupils

• Supporting children with additional needs as required

• Helping to foster a safe, caring, and inclusive learning environment

We Are Looking For:

• Experience working with children (ideally in a school setting)

• Good communication and interpersonal skills

• A positive and proactive attitude

• An understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures

• Relevant qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning) are desirable but not essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
