Primary Teacher (SEN and Behaviour Setting)

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for a Primary Teacher within an Alternative Provision in West Cornwall.

The school support between 15 and 20 children, at any given time, who have been excluded or are unable to access mainstream education. Each pupil receives support on a 1:1 and group basis with an additional focus on learning outside the classroom.

The role is full-time and will be due to start from September 2020. Responsibilities will include supporting the whole team in developing tailored and engaging learning plans for each pupil within the school. You will also work closely with the Pastoral Team to ensure learners and Learning Mentors are fully supported.

The successful candidate must;

• Be primary trained with 3 years experience as a minimum
• Have experience of working with highly challenging behaviour in a similar setting (e.g. ARB Units, PRU Specialist settings)
• Be able to demonstrate resilience e.g. a good attendance record
• Be ambitious for a future in the specialist / alternative provision context

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
