Are you a qualified Primary school teacher looking for a new challenge? Teaching Personnel are recruiting a Primary trained teacher for a specialist partner school based in Gateshead. The role is full time and to commence in September, with a strong possibility of a permanent contract for the right candidate.
The school prides itself on creating a nurturing and stimulating environment. They are looking for someone to be committed and enthusiastic in order to establish positive relationships with students and offer support to regulate their feelings. You will be teaching a small classes of pupils across Key Stage 2.
Pupils at the school have a range of complex needs which include behaviours that can challenge, learning disabilities, SALT, foetal alcohol syndrome, ADHD, autism, anxiety and depression. Some pupils are looked after children, living in foster care and come from difficult backgrounds that involve alcohol/ drug abuse and traumatic experiences.
Applications are encouraged from teachers both who have previously worked in alternative provisions and also from mainstream primary teachers looking for a new challenge and who want to make a difference.
