Location: Swanage, Dorset
Start Date: March
Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm
Salary: Paid to scale

We are pleased to be working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Swanage who are seeking a dedicated Year 5 Teacher to join their team from March. This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a well-established class and work within a school that places inclusion, wellbeing and high-quality teaching at the heart of everything they do.

The successful candidate will deliver engaging and purposeful learning while ensuring inclusive practice that involves all children, including those with SEN and other learning needs, so every pupil feels supported, challenged and valued.

The Role:

  • Teach a Year 5 class, delivering high-quality, engaging lessons
  • Plan, assess and adapt learning to meet the needs of all pupils
  • Use inclusive strategies to support children with SEN and additional learning needs
  • Create a positive, safe and stimulating classroom environment
  • Work collaboratively with support staff, SENCO and leadership
  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour, learning and progress

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Be committed to inclusive education and high-quality teaching
  • Have strong classroom management and organisation skills
  • Be reflective, adaptable and child-centred in their approach
  • Enjoy working as part of a supportive and collaborative team

This role would suit an experienced teacher or an ECT looking to further develop their practice in a school that values inclusion, teamwork and pupil wellbeing.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
