Classroom Teacher

Location: Bridport, Dorset
Contract: Fixed-term (with potential to extend)
Start Date: As soon as possible
End Date: End of Summer Term 2026

We are delighted to be supporting a successful, forward-thinking and friendly school in Bridport who are seeking a dedicated Classroom Teacher to join their welcoming team.

We are looking for an outstanding teacher to join our successful, forward thinking and friendly school. The successful candidate will be committed to enriching children’s learning and well-being, ensuring the highest outcomes for all children.

This position is offered on a fixed-term basis, ideally starting as soon as possible and continuing until the end of the Summer Term 2026, with the possibility of extension into the following academic year.

The Role:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that meet the needs of all learners
  • Create a positive, inclusive and well-managed classroom environment
  • Assess, track and report on pupil progress, using assessment to inform teaching
  • Adapt teaching strategies to support and challenge pupils of all abilities
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff and leadership
  • Build strong relationships with pupils, parents and the wider school community

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Be a reflective and effective classroom practitioner
  • Have high expectations for pupil progress, behaviour and achievement
  • Be committed to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
  • Be enthusiastic, organised and a strong team player

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
