Job description
Teaching Personnel are currently working with a primary school based in Stoke-on-Trent who are looking for aTeaching Assistant to join their team full-time from January. They are looking for an enthusiastic individual with a passion for helping young people. This is a great opportunity for an aspiring teacher looking to gain further school experience, or an experienced Teaching Assistant looking for an exciting change.
About the role:

Ongoing/long-term role with opportunity for a permanent contract

1-1 and group work involved
As a Teaching Assistant, you will be working across the KS2 department, supporting individuals who require additional learning and emotional support. You will work closely with the Class Teachers and parents/carers, to ensure the needs of the students are met and Individualised learning plans are created and implemented when necessary. Additionally, you may be required to cover PPA when necessary, ensuring pre-set work is completed and a positive and supportive learning environment is maintained.
What we’re looking for:

Experience working with young people (in any setting)

Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not essential

Strong communication and interpersonal skills with both students and staff
-
A genuine passion for creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment

Safeguarding training to be completed upon registering with Teaching Personnel

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
