The Role
As a Year 1 Teacher, you will play a key role in supporting pupils as they transition into Key Stage 1, creating engaging learning experiences that inspire curiosity and build strong foundations for future success.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver creative, engaging, and well-structured lessons in line with the Year 1 curriculum
- Assess pupil progress and provide clear, constructive feedback
- Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
- Adapt teaching to meet a range of learning needs
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to school life
- Take part in ongoing CPD and whole-school initiatives
✅ What We’re Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching within Key Stage 1, ideally Year 1
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Ability to plan and deliver differentiated lessons
- Confident use of technology in the classroom
- Excellent communication skills and a team-focused approach
