About the Role

As the Year 1 Teacher, you will take a leading role in delivering engaging, well-structured lessons that nurture children’s academic, social, and emotional development. You’ll join a collaborative team who share ideas, support each other, and work together to provide the very best start to education.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver imaginative, high-quality lessons tailored to Year 1 pupils
• Track, assess, and record pupil progress, offering clear and constructive feedback
• Create a positive, inclusive, and well-organised classroom environment
• Work closely with colleagues to support whole-school priorities
• Participate in ongoing professional development and CPD programmes

What We’re Looking For

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience teaching Year 1 or supporting early primary learners
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Flexible, approachable, and able to meet a range of learning needs
• Confident in using educational technology to enhance learning
